Property / text of the ὑπόθεσις: <ῬΗΤΩΡ.> / Τῷ κατορθώσαντι πόλεμον ἐπέτρεπεν ὁ νόμος, ὅ τι βούλεται γέρας, αἰτεῖν καὶ παρεῖχεν αἰτοῦντι. πολιορκουμένης πόλεως ῥήτωρ μόνος ἀποτολμήσας τὴν ἔξοδον εἰς λόγους ἦλθε τοῖς ἐναντίοις καὶ πείθει καταλῦσαι τὴν προσεδρείαν καὶ χρῆται τῷ νόμῳ δωρεᾶς ἀξιοῦντι τυχεῖν. ἀντιλέγει στρατιώτης ἀνὴρ ὡς τῷ κρατοῦντι δι’ ὅπλων, οὐ τῷ πείθοντι λόγοις νέμοντος ἆθλα τοῦ νόμου.
