Δύο ἀδελφοὶ ἐξῆλθον λαθραίως κατὰ τυράννου ὅπως ἀνέλωσιν αὐτόν· καὶ φωραθέντες ἐκρατήθησαν. καί τις φίλος τοῦ τυράννου ῥήτωρ παρὼν πείθει τὸν τύραννον, ἵνα μονομαχήσωσι κατ’ ἀλλήλων ὁπλισθέντες οἱ ἀδελφοί· οἱ δὲ ἐξελθόντες ἐπὶ μονομαχίᾳ ἐπέδραμον ἐξαίφνης, καὶ ἀπέκτειναν τὸν τύραννον, καὶ αἰτοῦσι παρὰ τῆς πόλεως δωρεὰν, ἵνα ἀποθάνῃ ὁ ῥήτωρ· ὁ δὲ ἀντιλέγει.
